The QUICK TED1 is a compact ionizing fan designed for ESD-protected workstations and other areas where dangerous electrostatic charges can build up during soldering, rework, repair, inspection, or the handling of printed circuit boards, assemblies, and sensitive electronic components. The unit generates positive and negative ions and directs them through the airflow to critical areas, helping to neutralize static charges reliably and reduce ESD risks during daily operation.
With an effective working distance of 30 to 120 cm, the TED1 can be positioned flexibly at the workstation without interrupting the process. The airflow can be directed precisely to the area where static build-up occurs, such as the soldering station, rework station, component tray, inspection fixture, or packaging zone. This makes the unit especially useful wherever ESD wrist straps and table mats alone are not sufficient.
The ionizing fan is particularly effective when handling PCBs, electronic assemblies, component trays, blisters, foams, plastics, and films. During operation, the ionization works continuously, reducing dust attraction, minimizing unwanted adhesion of lightweight materials, and supporting more stable and controlled processes in electronics manufacturing, service, and rework environments.
In close range, the device achieves an ion balance of less than +/-10 V at 30 cm according to ANSI/ESD-S20.20-2014. The output voltage of +/-2200 VDC and a maximum airflow of 4.6m³ support even and reliable neutralization across the working area. The TED1 is designed for operation at 0 to 50 °C and 40 to 60% relative humidity. It also features self-cleaning, automatic ion balance, an alarm function, and USB, RS485, and WLAN connectivity. Power is supplied via the included 230V power adapter.
