Flux ISO-Flux Cable flux KF-23, suitable for tin plating of nickel-plated cable ends and cable strands, 2.2.3.A, 1L bottle
Halogen-free, resin-free cable flux
DIN EN ISO 9454 1, 223 1, DIN EN 61190 1 3, ORL0
The cable flux KF-23 is a flux based on organic, halogen-free activators. It is characterized by the fact that absolutely partial tinning can be produced. This flux was developed especially for tinning and soldering cable shoes, sleeves and plug connectors. Even with the finest copper strands, the solder will not rise higher than the wetting of the strand by the KF-23 with a high capillary effect. The risk of solder creeping under the insulation and restricting the flexibility of the cable is eliminated when used properly. It is usually applied by immersion. However, the flux can also be applied by spray or foam fluxers.
noclean: No disturbing flux residues are visible after tinning. The tinned parts are metallically bright and retain their excellent wetting properties during subsequent soldering (e.g. on electronic assemblies), even after long periods of storage.
The flux residues correspond to classification 2231 according to DIN EN ISO 9454-1. These are non-corrosive and can remain on the soldering point.
Any green discoloration that may occur on copper cables is a reaction product of copper oxide and should not be confused with corrosion.
