Scope of application
The SPANNFIX 4.0 is the largest ball-and-socket vise on the market with a jaw width of 100 mm and impresses with its spring pins, exchangeable clamping jaws, centering eye and outstanding ball clamping force. The ball-and-socket joint allows the head of the SPANNFIX to rotate 360° and tilt up to 90°. It is possible to work at any conceivable angle. Different shapes are also not a problem. No matter whether round or square. The 4 clamping horns adapt to the product in shape and size. They can be rotated on the axis and have a firm grip on any object. The centering eye ensures perpendicular work. The workpiece can be aligned and machined in balance. In addition to the clamping horns, the SPANNFIX has profiled steel jaws that have been designed as reversible jaws and can be replaced. They have a smooth side and a side with a recessed edge and two vertical grooves that prevent rods and bolts, for example, from slipping (pipe clamping jaws). An integrated ruler allows you to read the clamping depth directly on the vise. This allows the 105 mm clamping width to be used to its full potential.
The SPANNFIX 9-292 is suitable for all workbenches and surfaces thanks to its screw-on foot. With the help of the four through-holes (Ø 10 mm), the vice can be attached to any table top. A lever pressure is enough and the clamped workpiece can be fixed steplessly in any appropriate working position.
The vice with ball is also ideal as a carving ball or carving vice. The threaded foot part alone can be useful for clamping or clamping, for carving and carving blanks. The SPANNFIX is a universal ball-and-socket clamping device. A third hand as a useful clamping and holding device with a quick-release mechanism, a useful aid in every workshop.
Technical product description
Clamping pressure/clamping force: 12,000 N, clamping width: 100 mm, clamping depth: 50 mm, jaw width: 100 mm, working radius: 330 mm (from center of ball), for screwing on (base plate 190 x 155 mm, through holes Ø 10 mm), material: cast aluminum with chrome-plated steel parts, color: structured powder coating in dark metallic gray, size: 450 x 220 x 200 mm (dimensions for orientation)
Max. torque or impact on the joint head, ball force: ball Ø 40 mm = 160 N / 17 kg / ball Ø 60 mm = 450 N / 47 kg. Please note that we cannot provide any guarantee of the holding forces for safety-relevant parts without knowing your specific application. The ball can behave differently under different physical conditions than it does in our test laboratory under optimal test conditions.
General Information
The SPANNFIX is a multifunctional vice with a flexible head and many possible applications. By using a high-quality ball joint, the head of the SPANNFIX can be tilted and fixed in any direction and offers optimal support in every position. The ball mobility can be individually adjusted using an adjusting screw at the lower ball seat. The ball can be held and released with a simple lever movement. A long service life is guaranteed by the high-quality, powder-coated cast aluminum and the surface-refined steel parts!
