Carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP = carbon fiber reinforced plastic) is highly conductive, both electrically and thermally, and is characterized by high abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. It has a negative coefficient of thermal expansion in the longitudinal direction, which means that it initially becomes shorter and thicker when heated. Temperature stable up to 130\u00b0C, briefly up to 190\u00b0C. Specific heat capacity: 710 J\/(kg\u00b7K) Thermal conductivity: 17 W\/(m\u00b7K) Thermal expansion coefficient: 0.1\u00b710^-6\/K. CARBOFIB is fully elastic, fatigue-resistant, vibration-damping, and water-repellent. Highly resistant to most acids, alkalis, and solvents.
